ASDA RECOGNISES LINK 51 OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT
The UK’s leading pallet racking specialist, Link 51, is proudly announcing its receipt of a ‘Certificate of Achievement’ presented by Asda in respect of the company’s involvement in the new Didcot ADC.
The acknowledgement marks Link 51’s contribution to the new build project which, apart from providing a valuable distribution resource for Asda, is also noted for its eco-friendly credentials. The ten-week involvement by Link 51 at the site has seen the company install 37,500 positions of XL pallet racking.
“Since the late 1980’s, when we were the first company in our field to achieve BSI 5750, we have had an ongoing commitment to improving the quality of our products and services,” comments Link 51 Managing Director, John Halliday. “Our recent achievement as the only pallet racking manufacturer in the UK to gain ISO 14001:2004 environmental recognition continues this proud record, and is a key contributory factor to the success at Asda.”
Link 51’s Major Accounts Manager, Ken Brown echoes this point. “We believe our close co-operation with other suppliers at the site contributed significantly to ensuring that the build programme continued smoothly,” he says, “and we are delighted to have been awarded the Certificate of Achievement which, as it states, recognises ‘outstanding achievement and tireless efforts in delivering the Asda Didcot ADC’.
“It is our view that our work at the site and our ability to meet the precise requirements of such a high profile and prestigious customer reflect very favourably on both our equipment design and the support services which Link 51 is committed to providing with all contracts – irrespective of type and size,” he concludes.
