Sometimes the only way to get more storage space is to build up!
High-rise shelving, accessible with order picking equipment, makes full use of ceiling height and takes up less floor space.
Raised storage areas are increasingly common-place in warehouse operations. Here, the benefits from effectively doubling a floor area are widely recognised, particularly when used in conjunction with conveyor systems to move goods through and between levels. This expansion in storage capacity can be achieved with mezzanine floors, with free-standing shelving and racking located on top and below, or by tiered shelving where the storage equipment itself provides the support framework for the secondary floor and ancillary fittings.
Link 51 has the design skills, technical know-how, proven products, project management and installation capabilities to raise your storage facilities to a higher level, safely and cost-effectively.
