Inspection Service & Training

Link 51 After Sales Service

Link 51’s service does not end with the successful completion of a project and the signing of the hand-over certificate.

Apart from the standard warranty, as laid down in Link 51’s terms and conditions, which covers the repair or replacement of faulty or defective goods for a period of 12 months, Link 51 offer a number of other additional after-sales services.

Extended Warranty – Link 51 recognise the requirements of certain customers for warranty periods extending to cover whole project life-spans of typically up to 25 years. In many cases, Link 51 is able to provide warranties for such periods, subject to agreed service contracts.

Rack Inspections

Rack InspectionLink 51 understand that damage, which remains undetected can result in serious injury and unlimited consequences.
As the original equipment supplier Link 51 are well qualified to report on the integrity of installed storage systems, and all inspections are carried out by a SEMA Approved Racking Inspector (SARI).
The Inspector then issues a full report, listing all damage, and grading it using a simple red, amber, green system to signify the severity of the damage. Training Seminars

Rack Training Seminars

Link 51 offer training by a SARI registered Engineer for client’s staff, to enable them to understand operational best practice and how to recognise damage when it occurs.

Service Contracts

Link 51 offer a Maintenance Agreement to provide clients with a cost-effective service programme which conforms to the requirements of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998. This ensures that clients can be assured that their systems are maintained in a safe condition, and further, highlights the need for any maintenance work, before the operation of the system becomes impaired. A further callout service is available, which covers the system in the event of a breakdown, and is intended to enable access to important stock or records, and ensures the system is in a safe condition.

Mobile Shelving Maintenance

Link 51 has created a mobile maintenance agreement to ensure that all of its customers - old and new - are utilising their mobile shelving system in a safe and hazard-free environment. With particular focus on PUWER 1998 (The Provision of Use and Work Equipment Regulations), which places extensive responsibilities on employers and employees alike for health and safety in the workplace, Link 51 can put the customer’s mind at ease with its service agreement.
As the original manufacturers, Link 51 are the best people to make any recommendations to certify that the mobile shelving system is safe to operate. A Link 51 safety inspection will ensure safe and suitable use of a mobile shelving thus prolonging the life of your storage system.

As a matter of course, Link 51 also supply all necessary SEMA safety (load) signage as required, and will provide, on request, all documentation relating to as-built drawings, Operational and Maintenance manuals as so on.
Link 51 take post-completion services seriously, and have formed many valuable relationships with our customers on this basis.
