Link 51 has demonstrated its commitment to the highest environmental standards after achieving 100% certification for supply chain sustainability.
The leading UK designer, manufacturer and installer of shelving and storage products attained full marks when it was awarded the Corporate Assessment of Environmental, Social and Economic Responsibility (CAESER) certification.
The voluntary independent certification, which is a thorough and rigorous process, means that Link 51 has been assessed favourably against the HMG Buying Standards for harmful material content and waste management applicability.
Recognised by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, the CAESER certification is used by many central Government departments as part of their procurement process. This includes the Government Procurement Service with whom Link 51 has a four-year framework agreement, for the supply, delivery and installation of shelving and high density storage systems to the UK public sector.
By being approved, Link 51 can demonstrate that its shelving and storage products meet the relevant UK technical and quality standards, or equivalent, for serviceability.
It also proves that all the company’s product packaging is 100% recyclable and reusable, and that all materials used to coat the wood, plastic or metal products are free from the hazardous substances classified in Directive 1999/45/EC.
Simon Baugh, Link 51’s Marketing Director, said: “As a UK manufacturer, we take our environmental responsibilities very seriously. We have held ISO14001, the internationally recognised standard for Environmental Management Systems, for a number of years and are now delighted to be formally recognised by CEASAR – and to have achieved the highest mark of 100% on every aspect of our shelving supply chain.”
Link 51 achieved 100% CEASAR certification for its Stormor, Picture Racking, Latitude, Cantilever and Revolve shelving ranges, and new trackless mobile shelving system.
