We would like to wish Linton Church of England Infant School in Cambridge good luck following thier entry into our PegsvLockers competition.
The school said of it’s entry into the competition which could see it win £2,000 towards an installation of school lockers, “We love our school and are proud of its Victorian origins. Linton CE Infant School has an outstanding OFSTED ranking and feel we have an outstanding school environment for our pupils, apart from the cloakrooms (the final frontier!).”
“Careful planning and sympathetic adaptation over the years has preserved all the original Victorian buildings, however the 50’s/60’s toilet and cloakroom extension was not generous in size, and this is particularly apparent with today’s fashion of bulky coats and seemingly countless wellies to accommodate. We had to find alternative storage for PE bags, in order that coats would stay on pegs, which isn’t ideal as it takes from precious space in the classrooms. The cloakrooms are open to view from the corridor, so there is no hiding the inadequacy of this area of the school. Although the children have been well trained it still looks pretty atrocious.”
“In our role as a strategic partner of a Teaching School, we are sure the Link Lockers system would be envied by the regular visitors from others schools and would for us be the “icing on the cake”.
We wish Linton CofE Infants School good luck in the compeition which will close at 12pm on Saturday 7th June.
