The Government Procurement Service, the executive agency of the Cabinet Office responsible for delivering procurement savings, has awarded Link 51 a four-year framework agreement for the supply of shelving and high density storage to the UK public sector.
As a result of this agreement, public sector institutions, including local government, health, education, emergency services, defence and not for profit organisations, can now benefit from Link 51’s leading expertise in shelving and storage design, together with the preferential terms of purchase negotiated through the Government Procurement Service’s framework.
Simon Baugh, Marketing Director at Link 51, the UK’s largest manufacturer of pallet racking systems, shelving and lockers, said: “We have a long history of working with public sector organisations, so we are delighted to have secured this framework agreement with GPS as it serves to affirm our market leading position in this sector.”
Importantly, the agreement streamlines the procurement process enabling the public sector to gain easy access to Link 51’s unique manufacturing capability and significant design and project management expertise at the best possible rates
“As the market leader, we have the UK manufacturing capability, and the skill and experience to manage all types and sizes of public sector shelving and storage projects, from the seemingly ‘impossible’ to more conventional designs,” added Simon.
“This is further supported by our unique three-tier sales structure. The combined expertise of our major projects team, geographically focused national field sales team and in-house telesales team ensures clients receive the best possible service. This also enables them to benefit from a wealth of sector experience, regardless of the size of project – from individual bays of office shelving to specialists in designing archives storage solutions and project manager’s involved in multi-million pound NHS distribution centres.”
