Among our many market leading storage solutions, pallet racking is one of the products that we’re most well known for. We always make sure we stay up to date with developments regarding best practice in terms of manufacturing, installation and safe usage of pallet racking and that’s why we’re proud to be members of the Storage Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (SEMA).
SEMA and its members strive to provide the upmost in technical advice, expert design support and codes of practice for safety when using storage equipment. Because of this our service offering goes beyond just manufacturing and supplying our various storage solutions – we also provide a range of supporting services such as supplying replacement locker parts, mobile shelving maintenance and pallet racking inspections and repairs.
SEMA racking repair advice
SEMA recommend that you get an expert to assess the integrity of your racking system every 12 months. The benefit of working with a fully accredited racking inspector is that they will be able to advise you based on SEMA’s latest codes of practice.
For example, did you know SEMA does not endorse any racking maintenance method that involves the repair or replacement of a major component that is carried out under full load conditions? Instead you should ensure the racking is offloaded before the repairs take place.
Racking inspections from Link 51
Our fully accredited SEMA engineers are available to come to your premises to inspect your warehouse racking system. At the end of this process you will receive a detailed report which outlines all instances of damage, the action required to repair the problem and a quote for carrying out this work.
Our racking inspections are also a great opportunity to discuss SEMA best practices with our storage experts in person, who will also be happy to introduce you to our range of racking accessories, which can help reduce damage occurring going forward.
