Training and Development
Whittan Storage Systems is committed to providing training in a culture where individual employees are encouraged to take ownership of their own development. The company’s aim is to ensure employees are aware of its goals and objectives and have the skills and experience to perform their roles satisfactorily in line with the business requirements and statutory obligations. Employees will be informed of training and development opportunities during company induction and within the Performance Review processes and reviews of the Training Matrix.
Training and development requirements are identified through the reviews of the Training Matrix (Works) and the annual Performance Review (Staff) processes. These processes ensure that every employee has equal opportunity to discuss and identify their training and development requirements with their Team Leader or Manager.
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for ensuring that the training and development policy is up to date and that training and development continuously supports the organisation. Every year the Training and Development Manager will undertake an audit of the policy to obtain a systematic picture of the way it is being applied across the organisation. A summary will be presented to the Human Resources Manager for agreement by Chief Executive along with recommendations for changing the policy as organisation circumstances change.
Whittan Storage Systems achieves Platinum Status for Financial Training
The company has been awarded ‘Platinum Standard’ from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in recognition for its work in this field reflecting both the quality of its training and ongoing staff development procedures.
