Following the acquisition of two companies, The Constructors Ltd and Summerfields Ltd, Link 51 used this new wing of its business – originally called Link Lockers – to specialise in personal storage solutions and quickly established itself as the UK’s number one locker manufacturer.
As the first UK company to offer colour options, we led the market away from the utilitarian office furniture colours, which were common in the 1970s and our value for money proposition ensured we became the go-to supplier for many organisations, across key sectors like education, retail and production to name just a few.
In response to increasing demand, as health clubs and hotel/leisure complexes flourished in the late seventies and early eighties, we added further products to our core range; including sports and wet area lockers. To this day, we’re constantly looking to improve and diversify our product offerings, in order to better meet the storage needs of our customers. We now sell all manner of lockers for every purpose imaginable and also provide things like hazardous materials storage cupboards, workstations and tool cabinets.
Even after 40 years in the market, Link 51’s Locker and Cupboard division is still leading the way in product innovation, becoming the first UK locker manufacturer to introduce Activecoat® anti-bacterial protection into its standard paint finish. Our partnership with Activecoat® has played an integral part in maintaining our position as the brand leader in our core markets over the years.
